Constructed from Female Tooling. Carbon epoxy resin-infused foam core sandwich hull and deck. Reinforced carbon laminates in high load areas. The laminates and panel thicknesses are engineered and built in accordance with ABS Standards. Canting keel driven by a hydraulic ram.
Fractional carbon rig with 2 sets of alloy swept back spreaders. Below decks an open layout provides dual functionality for racing and cruising. Galley has 12v Fridge, 12vFreezer, and 3 burner rotisserie oven.

RACE RESULTS
- Cookson 50 Aero now called Quantum skippered by Ray Roberts, ocean racer of the year 2007, jan, winner of inaugural docklands invitational series at skandia geelong week in melbourne.
Competing against some of australia’s most outstanding ocean racing yachts at the docklands’ waterfront city, roberts and his well melded crew from sydney sailed quantum racing, a cookson 50 to a five point win over victorian graeme troon’s reichel/pugh 46 xlr8 in the five race no drop series.
